I remember a time when the State Fair was very different than the lame event that we know today. There was a time when there were about as many sideshows as there were rides. I never cared a thing about the rides, I wanted to see the Freak Shows! I've seen them all from Pricilla the Monkey girl to the Lobster Boy and the Alligator Man. Well, my freakish friends, the show has begun and you can be one of the attractions. There were some really creative costumes last year but more are needed. This will be an ongoing project like the Book of Shadows. Pictures will be added year after year and not removed. I'm still working on the sideshow banners so if yours is not up yet it will be coming soon. I've also got it in mind to create some vintage looking freak photos when I have appropriate material.
